Action Plan: Build-A-Soup

 

Use the framework below to plan a soup that is full of your family's favorite flavors.

On a piece of paper or your phone, write out a plan for making a soup. As you plan, keep these tips in mind: 

  • Make a double batch so leftovers can be frozen. 
  • Use up veggies that need to be eaten soon.
  • Vary your protein and add more fiber with beans and lentils.

Make a list of ingredients you need to purchase and think about how your child can help.
