30 Minutes Or Less: Choose simple recipes

 

A great way to prepare a nutritious meal is to start with recipes that require very little time. Once you choose a simple recipe, build the rest of your meal around it. As you plan your meal, try to:

  • Start with ingredients you already have on hand
  • Include a variety of foods from at least 3 food groups
  • Always include at least 1 veggie or fruit 
  • Choose foods that are full of nutrients 
  • Limit added sugars, saturated fat, and sodium
