South Carolina WIC Farmers Market Benefits. What you need to know

What is the WIC
Farmers Market Nutrition Program?

  • EXTRA food benefits are offered to eligible WIC participants.
  • These benefits can only be used at authorized farmers markets and roadside stands.
  • Must be used during the farmers market season, usually May 1st - September 30th.

Are all WIC participants eligible
to get these extra benefits?

No. These farmers market benefits are only offered at select Public Health Departments. And, due to limited funding not all eligible WIC participants will receive FMNP benefits.
