  • CVB benefits can be redeemed all year if the Authorized Grower is open. 

WHERE can WIC Cash Value Benefits (CVB) for fruits and vegetables be used? 

  • Grocery stores - all year. 
  • Authorized Growers - Year-round if they are open. 
  • Roadside stands - Year-round if they are open . 


WHAT foods can be purchased? 

  • Eligible, fresh, unprepared fruits, vegetables without any added sugar, fats or oils and fresh cut herbs.
  • Foods purchased with WIC Cash Value Benefits (CVB) do not need to be locally grown. 
  • Yet, foods purchased with WIC Produce Connection benefits need to be locally grown. 
  • Ask your local WIC staff if you have questions.
